The “Knot” name has been with me through a lot of fun adventures! My cousin, and at the time business partner Nathan came up with the name Knotboards as a brand name for our venture of making custom long board skate boards as young adults. It was a blast, and a Hit! At least on the local level back in Amarillo Tx… As we moved more into construction as the primary means of keeping the lights on, I couldn’t let it go. I continued using it as my company name getting a dba in 2013 as Knot Mfg. and Const., and later in Colorado as Knot Construction LLC.. To this day I have a strong fondness for the memories attached to the name… With the help of a ton of great people. I moved up through the ranks of the construction industry. From a drywall laborer and cleaning jobsites. To becoming a very capable finish carpenter. Though the years I was afforded oppertunities to learn the fine details of woodwork, tile, painting, drywall finishing, steel fabrication, then project management in a diverse set of spaces. Working on small west texas trailer houses, to top of the line hyatt hotels, grocery stores, track homes by the dozens, and one of a kind high end custom homes. Through all this I was able to build a good life for myself and loved ones. For this I an eternally greatful. Beyond that, at some point along the way I was fortunate enough to realize all those people I learned from, taught, worked for, and lived with day to day were the reason for it all. I understood it was not my place to persue vain expressions of my skills, but to use all the opportunities I’ve have to be an asset to my friends, family and comunity. This is what drives me and all those engaged with Knot Construction. I hope we can be an assett to you as well.
