The “Knot” name has been with me through a lot of fun adventures! My cousin, and at the time business partner Nathan came up with the name Knotboards as a brand name for our venture of making custom long board skateboards as young adults. It was a blast, and a Hit! At least on the local level back in Amarillo Tx… As we moved more into construction as the primary means of keeping the lights on, I couldn’t let it go. I continued using it as my company name getting a dba in 2013 as Knot Mfg. and Const., and later in Colorado as Knot Construction LLC. To this day I have a strong fondness for the memories attached to the name.

With the help of a ton of great people. I moved up through the ranks of the construction industry. Starting as a drywall laborer and cleaning jobsites, to becoming a very capable finish carpenter then project manager. Along this path I was afforded opportunities to learn the fine details of woodwork, tile, painting, drywall finishing, steel fabrication, then project management in a diverse set of spaces. Working on small West Texas trailer houses, to top of the line Hyatt hotels, grocery stores, track homes by the dozens, and one of a kind custom homes. Through all this I was able to build a good life for myself and loved ones. For this I am eternally grateful. Beyond that, at some point along the way I was fortunate enough to realize all those people I learned from, taught, worked for, and lived with day to day were the reason for all the effort. I understood it was not my place to pursue vain expressions of my skills or increase profits, but to use all the opportunities I have to be an asset to growth and wellbeing of my friends, family and community. This is what drives me and all those engaged with Knot Construction. I hope we can be an asset to you as well!
